When I was younger I did a lot of Computer Science classes in high school and some in University. My programming background was pretty simplistic using BASIC, Pascal and other languages popular in the 1980s.
Since then my programming skills have been limited to building fairly complex MS Excel spreadsheet model and MS Access database programs.
After getting my iPhone in 2009 I started to be fascinated with the programming opportunities presented by the relatively simplistic, but yet hugely complex, platform.
I picked up an iPad2 last summer and decided that I needed to gather the tools and figure out how to dust off those old skills and refresh them into Objective C/Cocoa/XCode environment.
It's been a long winding journey but slowly and surely I'm picking up skills to make more and more complex programs.
I've got a laundry list of ideas that I'd like to build and Rocky Cactus Software is going to be the venue to get them completed.
